We described 2022 as the year of uncertainty and 2023 as the year of resilience. Looking back a bit, 2020 and 2021 were no less turbulent. After years of continuous adaptation and seeking new paths, how could we summarize 2024 in one word?

Recently, we realized just how long it has been—nine years—since the release of the completely rewritten, Symfony-based version of Drupal. Since then, a lot has happened, and it took nearly a decade for the persistent efforts of the community to bear fruit.

Due to the Covid situation, our last year was like we had pulled the handbrake a year and a half ago. Now it had to be released and we needed to step on the gas again so that the ambitions retained so far could come back to the front, and our people could find their goals and energies again. We needed to experience again that there is change, there is development.

One month ago, Edward de Bono died. He lived for eighty-eight years, during which time he wrote a total of 50 books. He is best known for his lateral thinking and six thinking hats; Bono's methods are well suited to general systems design and organizational collaboration.
