The Local Government of the XVth District of Budapest manages local public administrative tasks that are related to the provision of public services to the citizens, and to the creation of the conditions of cooperation with the citizens.

Challenge

Transparent website for diverse target groups

The municipality needed an informative website which is easy to maintain and can help them build stronger connections with its residents. Besides conveying useful information with a design that is engaging and easy to understand for a diverse audience, they wanted to have a platform with an easy-to-use administrative interface which smooths into their day-to-day operation. The new website had to comply with all current GDPR and accessibility requirements as this has been probed by experts right after the launch.

Solution

New interfaces, content and features

Besides refreshing the user interface, we extended the portal with functions that simplify administration by making municipal services more accessible and convenient. We made it easy for content managers to publish news and announcements to keep residents up-to-date related to the district’s life. And we made it easy for the users to find all the information they need in as few clicks as possible.

A lot of new content (such as a Document Repository) have been introduced supporting the work of the colleagues of the Mayor's Office.

As a result of this project, the residents and the administrators both think that the new municipal website is much improved, well represents the district and provides relevant information.
