A comprehensive presentation of a private collection.

Gábor Kovács is a banker, art collector, philanthropist, and founder of KOGART. The main goal of his collecting work is to build a collection characterized by beauty, harmony, the pursuit of balance, and inspired, sincere art.

Challenge
Presenting a private collection
Parallel to the redevelopment of the Kovács Gábor Art Foundation's website, there was also a need to renew the website for Kovács Gábor's private collection.
The goal was to properly represent the collector's vision, aesthetic commitment, and artistic values, as well as to ensure the aesthetic display of the artworks and their searchability.

Solution
Two websites with one backend
The project was based on the design and development of the Kovács Gábor Art Foundation's website. That one provided the architectural foundation, the aim was to build a sustainably maintainable common backend system that is clear and easy to manage for the editors.
We tailored various solutions to this structure to effectively showcase the private collection. Examples include the custom three-column homepage and corresponding navigation, as well as the "one image - one thought" content type.
The two websites follow a similar structure and logic, which not only allows for cost-effective design and sustainable operation but also creates harmony between them.
At the same time, thanks to the unique approaches found in both the visual identity and functionality, each site has its own distinct look and specifically serves the functional and content needs of its respective purpose.
