Website redesign to scale up communication and knowledge sharing for a Dutch-based nonprofit
The European Center for Not-for-Profit Law Stichting (ECNL) is a non-governmental organization based in the Hague, working on empowering civil society through creating enabling legal and policy frameworks.
Challenge
Presenting complex legal topics in an interesting and accessible format
ECNL was on the threshold of major organizational changes when they contacted us to revamp their website. They just relocated their office across the continent, they were about to expand their team and their presence and they wanted to improve their communication and knowledge sharing abilities towards the public.
Solution
Enhancing the benefits of multidisciplinary collaboration
We revised their brand identity, the content structure and required functionalities. By focusing on their specific way of working and their long-term plans,
we managed to come up with a design which not only represents them well but enabled them to be more effective in their communication.
We also switched from WordPress to Drupal to allow scalability - which proved to be a good decision as we implemented many new features during the past few years including a whole new microsite serving as a learning center.
