Challenge

A dedicated website for the broadened scope of activities

DIA enables access to an ever-expanding range of literary works from contemporary Hungarian literature in a single database, free of charge, anywhere in the world. Their previous website has been an integral part of pim.hu since 2016, but both the selection of works and DIA’s scope of work has broadened and enriched through the years. DIA has become an established institution with a strong presence in the contemporary literary scene, regularly cited in online and traditional publications.

One of the main objectives of the website's renewal was to better explain DIA's role and activities, and to optimise the searchability and visibility of the database and the works accessible through it.

Solution

Adaptive reuse of a completed solution

The dia.hu website was revamped in a standalone Drupal 10 system, which was designed in line with the Petőfi Literary Museum's website both in terms of its appearance and its operation.

The structure and the appearance of the website are harmonized with the museum's website, while at the same time providing space for the specific functions and operations of the DIA.

One of the most important achievements of the project is that the complete corpus of texts available in the database of the Digital Literature Academy has been made searchable.
