The Alumni Hungary Network is aimed at setting up and maintaining contact with full-time and part-time foreign students graduated from any Hungarian higher education institutions in order to strengthen professional, scientific, economic and political relations with them.

Challenge

Promoting professional networking

The Tempus Foundation wanted a portal to inform registered users about interesting and relevant news and events in Hungary and make special online services available to its members, that can be alumni students, higher education institutions and partner organizations. It was also important to create an online space for professional networking.

Solution

Online ecosystem for knowledge sharing, professional growth and collaboration

The new alumni portal and its associated database have become a central organizing element of the alumni network. One of the platform's key functions is connecting members and creating an online space for professional networking. The alumni database and map enables its members to find university fellows and fellow students from other Hungarian universities with similar professional background and experience. 

The site serves as an excellent example of integrating diverse functionalities to provide services and facilitate matchmaking between institutions and individuals. 

It offers a wide range of features, such as access to career development resources, event notifications, and networking tools, ensuring that users can connect meaningfully based on their interests and professional goals. Institutions, including universities and companies, can use the platform to share opportunities like job openings, collaborative projects, and research partnerships. Meanwhile, individuals—students, alumni, or professionals—can leverage these resources to find tailored opportunities, build relationships, and contribute their expertise.
