The International Eucharistic Congress is a series of events organized every four years by the Roman Catholic Church, attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors from around the world. The event was preceded by extensive preparatory work, further complicated by delays caused by COVID. The development process had to adapt flexibly to the preparatory efforts for the event.
Solution
Intuitive navigation, editor-friendly solutions, and performance optimization
We revamped the website to align visually with the event’s branding while meeting user needs during both the preparation phase and the eight-day congress.
During the event, the website served as a crucial point of reference, providing continuously updated news to assist attendees in staying informed. Visitors could access valuable information about various events, listen to podcasts, and read engaging interviews. The website was available in six languages, a fundamental requirement given the global nature of the event.
Even in the lead-up to the event, the website attracted nearly half a million users, with its simultaneous traffic reaching exceptional levels during the congress itself.
