Graphic Designer
Thanks to Integral Vision, we now have a proper online payment user flow, and all our books and contents became easily accessible. The partnership increased the orders directly coming from the website. Integral Vision was flexible, communicative, and always open to discussions.
Project Summary
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I am the in-house graphic designer and marketing advisor of the publishing house. We specialize in publishing books on literature and culture, and we organize cultural events regularly
What challenge were you trying to address with Integral Vision?
The website of the publishing house was very outdated and extremely slow. Its webshop held loads of great books, but due to the slow site performance and the myriad of usability issues, we could hardly sell our books online. The magazine (part of the publishing house) did not have a website before. It was built from the ground up to make educational materials available for teachers and students.
Team composition/dynamic team?
There was one designer, one key project manager, two lead developers, and four more developers working on smaller tasks.
How did you come to work with Integral Vision?
We shortlisted around ten companies and asked for a cost estimate from several ones. Integral Vision gave a great price, and they had many projects in the cultural sphere. Their designs were top-notch, and the sites worked flawlessly. They also have a great website and a forward-thinking, easy-going, professional, and calm company culture.
Describe the project and services they provided in detail.
We had several meetings throughout the whole process biweekly. They designed an updated and contemporary online brand guideline based on our current branded materials shown on the landing pages. After that, each webpage was designed for desktop and mobile. Development began after all the design files got finished. It was a very smooth process. They used Drupal as the primary CMS with many plugins and custom solutions tailored to our needs. There was a big feedback meeting at the end of each main project task (at the end of the design sprint and the end of development).
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We now have a proper online payment user flow, and all our books and contents are easily accessible. We are getting more and more orders directly from our site. One of the main benefits is that now we have total control over our website, and every piece of content is editable by the editorial team. The magazine now has an event and article archive available to everyone.
How did Integral Vision perform from a project management standpoint?
We had biweekly meetings where we ideated and discussed the main project milestones. These were the only occasions for giving feedback, but they were very flexible when something important came up. There were two big feedback meetings: one at the end of the design sprints, and one more at the end of the project. On these occasions we could give general feedback on the process as a whole. We used e-mail, Google Docs, and Figma to communicate.
What did you find most impressive about them?
One of the best things was that they were very open to discussions and were always trying to come up with the absolute best solution to every problem. We could feel that they wanted this project to succeed. Their Drupal developer team was one of the best in the industry. They over-delivered on many occasions.
Are there any areas they could improve?
We enjoyed the whole process. There isn't anything that comes to mind.
