About the project

A profound learning platform with learners and teachers in mind

The website’s launch in 2020 was preceded by an intensive development period of more than a year.  During their website renewal, personalised information provision - in accordance with the targeted exam's language and level -, the new online webshop and SEO optimization were really important objectives, however the major emphasis was put on the Myeuroexam portal where registered students and their teachers can track their exam applications and access a wide range of preparation materials, training plans, e-learning courses, online and offline events.

Within 2 weeks of the launch, more than 2.000 users have registered to the site and there was no drop in their SEO rankings at all. 

Are we ready?

Building an engaging, successful website is not a one-time thing

The Euroexam team has not stopped for a moment during the past 3 years since the launch. They keep coming up with new ideas in order to better support their students' and teachers' preparation, and to make the platforms and processes more convenient. The continuous development - from ideation to implementation - is supported by a dedicated team, and there is hardly a week that goes by without improving some part of the website.

In our view, it is extremely important to always have dedicated resources as well as to plan and design functionalities together. This approach enables us to think ahead and react promptly at the same time.

The cooperation framework

Flow and motivation are just as important as productivity and efficiency

At Integral Vision, we organise our work in two-week iterations, so-called sprints. During website development, we discuss each sprint's progress and upcoming tasks in the pre-scheduled biweekly demos. This way we can ensure a steady progress while being adaptive. We give full access to our task management system and are in day-to-day contact with our clients. This allows us to be transparent and work with up-to-date with information. We are responsible for the implementation - design and development - but we prefer to be involved in conceptualization as well, so that we can find together relevant, cost-effective and sustainable solutions.

In case of an active collaboration like with the Euroexam team, we keep up the frameworks of the development phase so that we can work together closely and deliver the best solutions based on their actual needs.

Innovative solutions

Personalised support for learning and teaching, taking exams and examining.

From the very beginning, euroexam.org's interfaces have been designed to display a large amount of information in a structured way, tailored to the user's individual needs. We are constantly expanding these complex structures by adding new content and functions. 

In the following,  we would like to highlight some of the solutions we are particularly proud of, and which also  illustrate the many challenges and opportunities of a website that also serves a key sales and service provider.

Tailored content structuring

The language examination centre offers preparation and examination opportunities in English and German, at various levels and in various formats, in many countries around the world. The relevant information - exam structure, dates, application process, preparation materials, etc. - varies according to the language, level or country of the chosen examination. This tailor-made information is displayed using a complex filtering system that tracks and preserves the preferences of registered and anonymous users, to ensure that wherever they navigate on the site, they always see the information that they specifically need. 

Examination system integration

One of the core functions of the Myeuroexam portal, created for students and teachers, is to facilitate the registration for the chosen exam and help them with the tracking and administration of related processes. For this, we use dozens of API endpoints that communicate with the institution's examination system in a timely and instantaneous manner, so that all data is up-to-date and every step is fast and clear.

Online trial exams

The Myeuroexam portal has provided a wide range of preparation materials for students and teachers from the beginning. Downloadable materials, tests, elearning courses, online and offline events and training courses are available through the account. Among the many improvements, the most notable was the launch of the online trial exams, where students can register for individual sections or a full exam and access the relevant exercises, take the online oral exam and see their results through their account.

Webshop

Euroexam's own webhop system not only handles the ordering and purchasing of products, but also manages the payment of training courses and online mock exams. Over the years, we have implemented a multifaceted and customized discount and coupon system, as well as a complex emailing system for purchases and event registrations, all of which can be fine-tuned on multiple levels.

Supporting the site editors

Euroexam.org has more than 75 000 registered users. They, and those who are not yet registered, are served with daily updated content by a team of people who work in many different roles at the same time. Our goal is to support these team members, aka the site editors, to navigate the complex processes and content structure of the website. Personalised roles and permissions, process automation and statistics help team members to work safely and efficiently.

What's next?

Facing new challenges with continuous enthusiasm and commitment

Euroexam.org is one of our most complex projects, where sprint by sprint,  we are continuously developing a sophisticated and intensively loaded system.  Over the past 4 years, there have been changes on both sides in the composition of the teams working on the project on a daily basis; nevertheless, the collaboration has always continued smoothly and with unbroken momentum. We plan to keep pushing forward with many exciting innovations in the coming months. 

The well-established yet flexible habits, the dedication of the team members, the deep knowledge of the system resulting from the continuous reflection together, all contribute to support the preparation of students and the training of teachers with new and innovative solutions.
