Designing and developing a state-of-the-art online webshop to support international expansion
Stageshop is a premier guitar store selling unique and vintage, electric & acoustic guitars, amplifiers and accessories
Challenge
Creating a purchasing process that results in high conversions
Stageshop team needed a practical product catalog design, excellent SEO strategy and well-optimized online shopping experience. They needed a complex online solution that can be used in worldwide markets (inside and outside EU). They just changed their ERPand it was crucial to have seamless integration with the new system.
Solution
Integrations, automations, and a modern user experience
We have designed and developed a stable and and engaging webshop system.
Thanks to the integration with the new ERP system, most of the manual work have been automatized and colleagues can focus more on content marketing to increase sales performance.
Based on customers ' feedbacks, the webshop user interfaces are easy-to-use. Besides intuitive navigation, advanced search and filtering possibilities, a product comparison functionality is helping users to choose the guitar that best matches their needs.
AI-powered SEO with Claude and Cortex
Challenge: turning SEO data into decisions
Stageshop had plenty of SEO data, but it was spread across separate tools: Google Search Console, PageSpeed Insights and on-page audits. With over 10,000 URLs in the sitemap, the team could not keep checking every source by hand and work out which fixes would actually bring more traffic and sales.
Solution: Cortex, an AI SEO analyst inside Drupal
We added Cortex to the existing webshop. Cortex is our open-source Drupal module, and it uses Anthropic’s Claude as its LLM through the Drupal AI module. On a regular schedule, Cortex does the following:
- pulls 28-day Search Console data (clicks, impressions, CTR, average position) for the pages with the most traffic;
- audits the live HTML of each page type for structured data, titles, canonicals, meta descriptions, image alt text and heading structure; collects Lighthouse and Core Web Vitals scores for mobile and desktop.
Claude then brings all of these signals together into a plain-language summary and a ranked action plan, shown directly in the Drupal admin. Each recommendation comes with its expected impact, the effort it takes, and the figures behind it. Claude doesn’t give generic advice. It separates different problem types from each other:
- a snippet problem, e.g. a category page ranking at position 2.4 with a 1.5% CTR;
- a visibility problem;
- a mobile-only rendering issue, e.g. an 8.2s mobile LCP on a key service page while desktop loads in under 1s;
- template-level defects that can be fixed across the whole site with a single theme change, such as product cards rendered as H1s.
Results
Cortex turned SEO from a periodic audit into a continuous, measurable process that the Stageshop team and our developers act on together. After the first round of AI-prioritised fixes, the site’s overall SEO health score went up from 80 to 87:
- Mobile SEO: 84 → 97
- Mobile accessibility: 81 → 89
- Desktop performance: 86 → 92
- Desktop SEO: 78 → 84
Cleaner structured data, clearer headings and better metadata help Stageshop’s products show up in both classic search results and AI-driven answer engines.
